In the year 785 B.C. the Assyrian army rules all of Mesopotamia with an iron fist. Renowned for their brutality and cruelty, they conquer kingdom after kingdom. A Hebrew prophet named Jonah receives a divine directive to go to Nineveh, the capital city of the Assyrians. There he is directed to deliver a divine message to the Assyrian empire.
